1. About Matcha
Matcha is an experimental personal-finance application maintained by Jason Krijgsman. It helps you review your own accounts, transactions, budgets, reconciliations, and plans. It is not a bank, payment service, accountant, financial adviser, or investment adviser.
2. Personal use only
The current Open Banking integration is intended only for Jason Krijgsman's personal accounts and private evaluation. It is not a public banking service. Do not use Matcha to access an account you do not own or control, to provide a service to another person, or for a business or commercial purpose.
3. Read-only bank access
Matcha may retrieve account metadata, balances, and booked or pending transactions after explicit authorisation. Matcha does not initiate, approve, schedule, or submit payments. A bank connection can expire, fail, return incomplete information, or require renewed consent.
4. Your responsibilities
- Use only accounts and information you are authorised to access.
- Review imported records and calculations before relying on them.
- Protect your device, vault passphrase, private keys, backups, and bank-authentication methods.
- Revoke a bank consent and stop using Matcha if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Follow the terms imposed by your bank and Enable Banking.
5. Third-party services
Open Banking connectivity is provided through Enable Banking and the bank you select. Their services, availability, consent rules, and terms are outside Matcha's control. Restricted Enable Banking use is governed by the Enable Banking Terms of Service.
6. No financial advice
Matcha presents calculations and planning information from the data available to it. Nothing shown by Matcha is personalised financial, tax, legal, accounting, or investment advice. Verify important decisions against bank statements and seek a qualified professional where appropriate.
7. Availability and experimental status
Matcha is provided on an experimental, as-available basis. Features can change, integrations can stop working, and data can be delayed or incomplete. Keep independent backups and do not use Matcha as the sole record for a legal, tax, or payment deadline.
8. Warranty and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Matcha is provided without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with every bank. The maintainer is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by reliance on incomplete data, third-party outages, a lost local vault, or use outside the scope of these terms. Mandatory legal rights are not limited.
9. Ending access
You can stop using Matcha, revoke sharing through your bank or Enable Banking, and delete your local vault. Access may also be suspended if required to address security, legal, provider, or misuse concerns.
10. Changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected by a new version and effective date on this page. Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@jasonkrijgsman.com.
